Totnes and Rural Community Bus Associationis part of Caring Town – a local network of public, voluntary and private organisations, groups and people that care about our community that’s living here in Totnes and the surrounding parishes.
Together, we’re trying to make sure everyone has the health and social care they need, and we’d love for you to be involved too.
On the 12th November we’ll be at the Civic Hall from 11am – 2pm to share information about our activities, services and volunteering opportunities, alongside 25 or so other organisations and groups that help local people in a variety of ways including the Children’s Centre, Memory Café, Young Devon, Rethink, Citizens Advice, Bob the Bus, Lifeworks, Drop In Centre, Totnes Caring, Gardening for Health and many more.
We invite you to drop-in and get to know us better, and also have a chat with a great range of other providers of formal and informal services. Bring your questions and your needs and see what’s available to give you and your loved ones a helping hand.
Like us, many of these groups and organisations rely on volunteers, and need your time and expertise to carry on with their work and meet the growing demand – for as little or as much time as you have to offer.
While giving your time to others, you can meet new people, learn new things, get experience for your CV or share your own expertise and life experience.
1 in 10 of your fellow residents already volunteer… what is it that matters to you? If you’d like to lend a hand to others, please drop in and have a chat about a great range of flexible opportunities.
The Bob the Bus team are committed to supporting their community and think we are better together, that’s why we will be supporting this event and hope to encourage others to volunteer and be part of caring for our town and rural area’s
Please come along and experience some of what our amazing community has to offer you and your loved ones – all in one place. There will be activities for kids, a delicious lunch cafe and live music. Please let others know too…
