Caring Town Fair
March 23 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
We all know that looking after our mental, emotional and physical well being is important. But where to turn for help, or ideas to keep active and connected?
This Caring Town Fair brings together 30 local organisations and groups, and they will be delighted to meet you and explain their various services and activities.
Bob the Bus will be holding a stall to tell people about the services we provide in Totnes and neighbouring villages. If you want to become a volunteer driver, commitee member or fundraiser then come along and have a chat with our team.
If you have a question or a problem you’re struggling with, or you’re simply interested in getting more involved in your community by volunteering or taking up a new activity, come along and find out more.
There’s support available for managing health conditions like dementia or anxiety and help with disabilities. You’ll find assistance for people who are caring for loved ones. Local services can also help you address financial issues such as debts and benefits.
Enjoy a health check with one of the nurses, find out your heart’s true age, and have fun trying out some new equipment such as the “picker-upper” for people who fall but struggle to get up again by themselves.
Find out about the great services for our older people, and local projects that are helping young people have more voice and influence here, as well as support for good mental and emotional health.
Want to be more social or active? Come and find out about things like walking groups and gardening, music and arts activities where you can make new friends.
Information will be available on plenty of other services and groups that can’t be there on the day.
Drop in, have a chat and enjoy the delicious food and drink provided by Food in Community, and bring your children so they can try out the free activities.
Too good to miss? We think so and hope to see you there!
