Hiring Bob the Bus

Our 16-seater minibuses are available for private hire. We are permitted to hire only to non-profit groups or organisations, or for private social events, such as weddings and birthdays.  If required, the bus can be decorated for your special occasion. Please contact us for more details.

The availability of buses depends on other aspects of our services, so it’s advisable to book as early as you can. From Monday to Friday, one or two buses may be available, at weekends up to four.

Normally, you will be expected to hire a bus with one of our registered drivers. If your transport involves young people (under 18) or vulnerable adults, it is essential that appropriate chaperone/companion arrangements are made, and this will be a condition of hire.

If you belong to a non-profit group and want to hire a bus on a regular basis then you may be able to register as a nominated volunteer driver for your group.  Registered drivers must have a D1 category driving license, no endorsements or convictions and have experience of driving a large vehicle.  They will be required to provide a copy of their driving license and complete a driver’s registration form for insurance purposes. They will be required to attend a short induction session with one of our nominated assessors. This can take up to 6 weeks to complete.
