Former Bob driver and Trustee John Holl died recently at the age of 83. 

Former Bob driver and Trustee John Holl died recently at the age of 83.

John served as a naval officer, before becoming a sheep farmer near Littlehempston.  He was indefatigable in all he undertook, and threw himself into so many aspects of community life, notably St John’s church in addition to Bob the Bus.

In 2021 (just before his 80^th birthday), he completed an epic project to climb all 181 Dartmoor Tors.  In doing so, he raised over £4,000 for Bob the Bus, and, typically, had fun in the process.  He was a lovely man, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
