Bob the Band

Bob the Band performed from Bob the Bus at the Totnes market square on 7th Sept 2019. The band was formed from a group of volunteer drivers and the coordinator after one of our volunteers wrote a Bob the Bus song.

The short 30 minute performance raised £110 for the charity. Big Thanks to everyone involved.

Caring Town Fair 23rd March 2019

Caring Town Fair

March 23 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

We all know that looking after our mental, emotional and physical well being is important. But where to turn for help, or ideas to keep active and connected?

This Caring Town Fair brings together 30 local organisations and groups, and they will be delighted to meet you and explain their various services and activities.

Bob the Bus will be holding a stall to tell people about the services we provide in Totnes and neighbouring villages. If you want to become a volunteer driver, commitee member or fundraiser then come along and have a chat with our team.

If you have a question or a problem you’re struggling with, or you’re simply interested in getting more involved in your community by volunteering or taking up a new activity, come along and find out more.

There’s support available for managing health conditions like dementia or anxiety and help with disabilities. You’ll find assistance for people who are caring for loved ones. Local services can also help you address financial issues such as debts and benefits.

Enjoy a health check with one of the nurses, find out your heart’s true age, and have fun trying out some new equipment such as the “picker-upper” for people who fall but struggle to get up again by themselves.

Find out about the great services for our older people, and local projects that are helping young people have more voice and influence here, as well as support for good mental and emotional health.

Want to be more social or active? Come and find out about things like walking groups and gardening, music and arts activities where you can make new friends.

Information will be available on plenty of other services and groups that can’t be there on the day.

Drop in, have a chat and enjoy the delicious food and drink provided by Food in Community, and bring your children so they can try out the free activities.

Too good to miss? We think so and hope to see you there!

NO RETURN FARES B1B/B2F

RETUTN FARES have been suspended on the following services:

B1B Bridgetown and B2F Follaton circulars. Starting Monday 23rd July

In the last ten days we have had instances of us not being able to honour return fares on B1B and B2F circular routes on account of the bus being full.  A decision has been made to suspend return fares until further notice. This is of course a result of our own success in attracting more passengers.

ROUTE CHANGES Bob 1/2

Bob 2R (Rattery)- CANCELLATION

The service to Rattery on Monday and Thursday will cease on 2nd August. The decison to cancel this service was made due to lack of passengers

BOB 2 (Follaton) – EXTRA CIRCULAR 8.30am

Following the last committee meeting on 16 July and feedback at the earlier AGM the decision has been made on what to do with the BOB 2 Follaton timetable on Mondays and Thursdays after the end of the service to Rattery on 2nd August.
From Monday 6th August on Mondays and Thursdays only we shall be operating the BOB 2 Follaton circular timetable from 08.30 to 16.30. Eight complete circulars on those two days. This will give us some idea of the support for services at commuter/school times, albeit on only two days a week.
There will be an on-board notice and one for the Follaton Shop shelter but the timetable will not be revised yet as we have set up a working group to look at the whole area of timetables and how we publicise our services.

BOB 1 (Bridgetown) – ROUTE EXTENSION (Steamer Quay)

Not to be left out and following a consultation with drivers, we will also be introducing a loop around Steamer Quay Road on the BOB 1 Bridgetown timetable. This change is partly driven by demand from the Guinness Trust assisted living development but is also aimed at serving the Longmarsh/Steamer Quay car parks and boat passengers. As we are short of B1 timetables they have been amended to include this extension.
